Alexis Lawrence is a senior at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, majoring in communications with a cumulative 3.0 GPA. She earned her associate of arts degree from Richland College, in Dallas, after attending Texas Women’s University for her freshman year.
Lawrence, a native of Mesquite, developed a passion for soccer as a youth which has continued at St. Mary’s where she is a member of the St. Mary’s women’s soccer team. The discipline she developed as a student athlete is reflected in her academic success and Lawrence was recently nominated for induction to The National Society of Leadership and Success. She considers this a great honor as she had overcome learning disabilities to achieve this honor.
Lawrence hopes one day to use the skills acquired from her communications degree to own a real estate business. With the prevalence of clients pursuing residency through virtual sessions, Lawrence plans to enhance client relationships through communication using various streams of social media. Lawrence also hopes to pursue a graduate certificate in either Business Intelligence or Community-Based Assessment and Evaluation to help her to better help those clients who are less fortunate so that she can help them realize their dreams of home ownership.
